This post update is regarding Kolkata Police Recruitment of 1167 Constables and lady constables against notice no 02/2015 KPRB. The notice advertised on 20.11.2015 on the official website kprb.kolkatapolice.gov.in. The last date of application was Dec 19, 2015
Qualification of Candidates(Prarthir Joggota): Candidates who are passed from west bengal board of secondary education or equivalent to are eligible to apply. Madhyamik passed boys can apply for constables and girls for lady constables.
Age Limit(Boyos): Candidates age should be between 18 To 27 as of 1/1/2015. Age is relaxable for SC candidates 5 yrs, for OBC 3 yrs. Other states SC,OBC certified candidates rest of bengal are not eligible for age relaxation. They will be considered as general applier.
Salary(Beton): The actual salary is Rs.5,400-25,200/- and grade pay is Rs.2,600/-.

Physical Measurements(Saririk Mapjok): Male and female candidates who are applying for kolkata police should be a minimum measurement to be eligible. Male should be 167 Cm long with body expansion 78cm, and 83cm without expansion.
Female candidates should be 160cm long. Weight has to proportionate to their height and age.

Selection Procedure(Prarthi Bacchai Poddhoti): The Kolkata Police Recruitment Board will select qualified candidates through some steps:
1. Measurement-First of all physical measurements test PMT of the applied candidates for constable at kolkata police.
2. Physical efficiency Test(Pet):After this physical efficiency test(PET) will be taken of the candidates who successfully passed in physical measurement. For boys pet test will be 1600 Metres run in 6 and half minutes, for girls it will be 400 Metres run in 2 Minutes.
3. Written Test:Candidates of kprb constables and lady constables qualified in PET(saririk sokkhomota poriksha) test need to sit on a written exam held by kolkata police recruitment board. The written test will be 90 Marks in 60 Minutes.
Subject Details of Written Test: The subjects of kolkata police constables and lady constables are-‘Current Affairs’means the latest or current events/facts of national and international wise which is happenning around the world. Marks Distribution Criteria and Language: Every question has 11/2 marks. The kolkata police question pattern will be on OMR sheet and questions will be on four languages Bangla, Hindi, English and Nepali. There is a negative marking on each wrong answer 1/4 number will be deducted.
4. Interview:The last step is interview of 10 Marks.
During the time of preparing merit list total number of written test and interview will be checked. So i am requesting to all candidates to take a good poriksha prostuti for kolkata police constable written test.

There are 4800 Govt affiliated Tathya Mithra kendra also available from where you can also apply. Tathya Mitra kendra workers will help you to fill up online form, here you need 170/- fees (sc 20/-). After filling up form keep the acknoledgment copy and regis no with you.
The Last Date of Application is 19,Dec 2015.
Besides this you can apply offline, form can be downloaded from the offical website kprb.kolkatapolice.gov.in. Exam fees of Rs 150/- can be deposited at any alahabad bank branch along with challan or through any post office of state.
