West Bengal(WB) GroupD Recruitment 2017(WBGDRB): West Bengal State government recruits 25000 group-d staffs in various department in 2017 through WBGDRB. West Bengal government is one of the biggest recruiter of all the job vacancy in the state(including all wb districts). Since past few years till last of 2016 a lot of job vacancies have been created in various category of group-d posts. Thats why in 2017 wb govt’s planning is recruitment of 6000 Group-D staffs in various category in West Bengal State Government undertaken offices.

It is heard there are 25000 group-d vacant posts are available to recruit. So out of 25000 vacancies employment of 6000 Group-D personnel in various department is the first phase of wb state government. The first phase starts from 3rd January 2017, The rest will be recruited later after filling up these vacancies.

State Government has formed a board namely West Bengal Group D Recruitment Board(wbgdrb) to employ 6000 Group-D personnel in the various categories of posts in state govt offices located all over West Bengal. WBGDRB expects an amount of 30 lakhs online applications to be filled up. This is the biggest recruitment of wbgdrb since its journey from 1 January 2016.

WBGDRB board invites online-application through their website www.wbgdrb.in. Candidates may apply without any fees from 3rd January to 29 January 2017 through the group-d board’s official website at www.wbgdrb.applythrunet.co.in.

So 2017 West Bengal group-d recruitment is a big opportunity for fresher candidates as well as old candidates of Madhyamik passed(10th), Higher Secondary passed(10+2), class eight passed, post-graduate from any govt recognised organisations.

6000 Group-D Recruitment in West Bengal 2017 by WBGDRB -Recruitment process, Group-D written exam scheme, Vacancy, Exam Date, Admit card, Notification

Group-D Notification & Recruitment Process:

The West Bengal Group-D Recruitment Board(wbgdrb) will recruit 6000 Group-d workers under notification no 1924/HR/N/G8P-153/15.

The board had invited expression of interest from reputed and bonafide Firms/Agencies to assist the board in conducting the recruitment process. Initially 13 Firms had submitted their E.O.I Request for Proposal were sent to all these 13 Firms and ultimately 7 Firms submitted their tenders. Final selection was made by Expert Evaluation committee based on the Quality and Cost Based Selection(QCBS) method. Finally the tender won by WEBEL Firm who will conduct the whole recruitment process from starting of application to distributing admit card. 

Selection process of candidates will be made by West Bengal Group-D Selection Committee in two statges- 1) Written Exam                                    2) Interview/Viva

Written Examination: Full Marks – 85

The WBGDRB led group-d written examination 2017 will be held on 14 May 20 May. Same day the exam will be organised in specified exam centre of all the districts in West Bengal. Online applied candidates should be present in the exam hall carrying with downloaded admit card and other identity credentials. Hall ticket may be collected from wbgdrb’s official site. 

Written examination will have 85 Multiple Choice(Four option) Objective Type Questions(MCQs) carrying one mark each. The duration of the examination will be one and half hours(1 and1/2 hours 75 Minutes). Questions in the written examination shall be in the following syllabus(of class VIII standard of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education):-

Group- D written exam new Syllabus 2017- WBGDRB published a new syllabus replacing the old. The 2017 Group-d exam will be conducted based on this syllabus. Group-D syllabus are classified by three subjects and each subject has different topics –Subject(A) General Studies – 40 Marks(40 Questions). General studies contains five topics- A-I) Chemistry A-II) Geography – regional geography, basic structure of earth, inner core of the earth, climatic weather, layer of air etc A-III) Physics A-IV) Life Science A-V) History – ancient Indian history, medieval Indian history, modern Indian history,ups and downs of regional power in Indian history, colonisation in Indian history, effects of colonisation Indian nationalism,elements of modern history,basic development of indian nationalism, exemplar and evolution of Indian nationalist movement, from communalism to partition in Indian history, structure and rights of people of Indian constitution Subject(B) Language Paper– 10 Marks(10 Questions). Language paper will be in four different languages -(Bengali)- (Hindi)-(Urdu)-(Nepali). Each language paper questions are grammar based and one mark each of ten. Subject(C) Mathematics – 35 Marks(35 Questions) – Topics- (arithmetic) – simple & compound interest calculation, decimal arithmetic, solution of percentage into ratio and proportion, loss & profit calculation, solution of mixture related facts, solution of rectangular and square facts(algebra) ,(geometry).

Candidates are expected to fill up the correct blank space against a question no. on the OMR answer sheet. The question papers for General Studies and Mathematics will be in English and Bengali. Language paper questions will be one’s native language. To avoid paper cancelling a candidate should check the answers carefully before filling up the OMR sheet.

Important Note/instructions for WBGDRB exam 2017 candidates : There is no negative marking for any wrong answer. O.M.R sheet will be provided for marking answer. West Bengal Group-D Recruitment Board’s decision about written exam scheme and syllabus is final. One will be succeed after getting the specified qualified number fixed by wbgdrb in group-d written exam. Avoid, using of electronic gadgets like mobile,calculator,smartwatch into exam hall, to be calcelled OMR sheet. Everybody should use black ball point pen to marking answer. Follow the instructions of the hall invigilator before start the exam.

Interview/Viva –  Group-d written exam successful candidates will be called for interview. A personality test will be conducted by wbgdrb against written test passed students of multiple times of vacant posts. Few days later after finishing the 20 May written test, call letter will be sent to candidates for interview.

Eligibility Criteria for Group-D

Candidates who have passed 8th standard from any Madrasah, school or any government registered organisation, may apply for group-d post. Madhyamik passed, Higher secondary passed, Graduate passed candidates also can apply for the above mentioned post. One must read, write and speak Bengali fluently to apply for this post.

Age Limit

Candidates should aged between 18-40 years as of 01-01-2017. Relaxation of age for SC and ST candidates will be upto 5 years. OBC candidates will get upto 3 years of age relaxation. Physically handicapped person with 40% or more disability will get 8 years of age relaxation. Age relaxation of Ex-servicemen is as per specified limit.

The starting salary of group-d staffs will be above 10000/-

Vacancy

Vacancy will be increased after recruitment of 6000 group-d staffs in first phase. As report there is 25000 vacant post to be filled up in various offices under west bengal govt. Recruitment process of the rest will be start after completing the first phase.

9. On left side create an account providing email, mobile number, username and password. Choose communication mode as mobile or email

Note:Your mobile number is your username

10. After creating account log in to open application form. Fill the required fields with correct details. Upload your scanned photo and signature(specified size by board)then submit.

11. After submitting application you will get an auto-generated form with number. Print this form and keep it for future document.

The whole above shown process is both for android and desktop platform. After submitting online application either on android or desktop, you will get a confirmation sms on mobile or email. 

Submission of online application is open from 03/01/2017 after 5 P.M to 29/01/2017 till 11 P.M.

How to download Hall ticket for wb group-d exam 2017

First of all go to wbgdrb official site above and login with your credentials like username and password etc. Put your application serial number to download and print out of your photo, signature scanned admit card. Keep this downloaded hall ticket safe to show during 20 May exam.

Latest Update WBGDRB :The written exam date,duration changed:

Updated 28 April

The previously announced above group-d exam date 14/05/2017 changed by WBGDRB to the new revised Date which is 20/05/2017. All candidates should report at the exam venue at 12:30. Admission starts from 1:30 PM, nobody will be allowed in the exam hall after 2:20 PM. The group-d exam duration also changed along with date. The fixed exam duration is 1^1/4  hour is 75 Minutes[2:30 to 3:45 PM] instead of earlier annonced 90 Minutes.

There is no major change on admit card and marks. Old wbgdrb issued admit card for 14/05/2017 remains valid. Exam questions will be of MCQ type of 85 Marks. Candidates is being informed about new exam date through message by WBGDRB.

So finaly candiadates should be prepared for 85 MCQ(Multiple Choice Question) in 75 Minutes group d exam event 2017 by WBGDRB on 20 May.
