West Bengal Municipal Service Commission(MSCWB) Recruitment 2016-2017
West Bengal Municipal Service Commission of West Bengal Government recruits employees through Kolkata Municipal Service Commission. Kolkata Municipal Service Commission has been entrusted with the important work of recruitment of employees for Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

Municipal Service Commission Recruitment Examination 2016
Municipal Service Commission was first constituted under Calcutta Municipal Corporation Act 1980, by a notification of the State Government dated 22nd March, 1984. Its predecessor however, was the Calcutta Municipal Service Commission which came into being with effect from January, 1954. This commission therefore can be called an organisation with about 55 years of existence. Duties and functions if this commission have emanated from the Provisions of Sec 19 of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation Act 1980 which reads as ” Appointment to a Category A or a Category B post shall be made on the reccomendation of the Municipal Service Commission.
Functions of the Commission, its tenure, entitlements etc. of the Chairman and members and staffing pattern are guided by the Calcutta Municipal Corporation(Municipal Service Commission) Regulation 1984, as ammended from time to time. The Chairman and members are to hold the office for four years or till their attending 62 years of age whichever is earlier. The Secretary of the Commission may be an officer directly appointed or promoted from amongst the officers of the Commission or may be deputed by the State Government.

West Bengal Municipal Service Commission(MSCWB) are inviting online applications from Indian citizen for conducting Kolkata Municipal Corporation recruitment examination 2016-2017. Following eligibility rquirements are needed for a candidate to apply for this post-
Essential Qualification:
Must be a graduate from a recognised university
Desirable:
Knowledge of computer based on accounting system
Age Limit:
Job Candidates applying for this post must be aged between 18-40 yrs as of 1st January 2016. Age limits are relaxable for SC, ST, PWD(Person With Disability) candidates upto 5 years, and 3 years fof OBC A&B category candidates of west bengal.

1. Application fee for this post Unreserved(UR) and OBC(A&B) candidates is Rs 220 ( Rs 150 plus Rs50 for processing charge plus Rs20 for bank challan deposit charge).
2. Application fee for SC, ST and PWD candidates is Rs 70 (Rs 50 for processing charge plus Re 20 for bank challan deposit charge).
3. The application fees plus processing charges as mentioned above shall be collected from all the branches of the United Bank of India and the same should be deposited to Account no 0088010375832 through Challan generated after submission of Online-Application at the website www.mscwb.org.
4. Besides above, a candidate opt for On-line payment of aforsaid fees and charges through Indiaideas.com Limited (BILL DESK).
Miscellaneous:
A candidate now in service under Central or the State government/Cemi Government/Local or statutory body shall have to ensure that No-Objection Certificate from his/her present employer reaches the Office of the Municipal Service Commission within 7 days preceding the date of Personality Test/Interview. Otherwise he/she will be considered not eligible for Personality Test/Interview.
Pay Scale:
The pay scale for this post is Pay Band-3 Rs- 7100 – 37,600 Plus Grade Pay – 3600 Plus other admissible allowances.
